The State of California requires the following for any new SPAB certification -
- 15 hours of classroom instruction by a certified SPAB instructor.
- 20 hours of 1-on-1 behind-the-wheel training.
- CHP Background Check.
- Written Test.
- Drive Test with CHP.

Daniel Bessette (instructor #5344), has been certifying SPAB drivers in all of Northern California since 2015. He is a retired deputy Sonoma County Sheriff with over 30 years of law enforcement and transportation industry experience.
In addition to CA SPAB Training, he is currently the owner/operator of one of the most successful transportation companies in Sonoma County.

We offer dedicated classroom instruction space for up to 20 students.
Students must meet the following criteria to apply for our course -
- Hold a valid CA commercial driver's license.
- Have a current medical certificate.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
